Leads to us government taking over and becomes the spanish american war. Destruction of uss maine (great white ship) Printed everywhere, mass media for the first time. Even today we don"t really know what happen, but we think there was fire in the ship. Press had convinced the us that it was a spanish mine bomb (claim it was not an accident) Us media portraying spain as the murdered of maine.
