What influences perceptions of pain: cultural factors, previous experience with pain, physical/mental states when pain is experienced, barriers to (cid:272)o(cid:373)(cid:373)u(cid:374)i(cid:272)ate a perso(cid:374)"s pai(cid:374) , la(cid:374)guage, (cid:272)ultural (cid:271)eliefs, ho(cid:449) to describe/express pain, position: fetal. Acute: acute seen with tissue damage, when injury heals, pain resolves.
