Routine techniques to assess nutritional status: measure height, weight measure bmi, general appearance of person are they alert, well groomed, assess skin smooth, elastic, hydration or any lesions/bruises. Inspect oral cavity: strength of muscles, coordinated movements, money for food, transportation to go buy food.
