Document Summary
My reflection paper is on the reading (cid:862) o(cid:373)e thoughts o(cid:374) fe(cid:373)i(cid:374)ist a(cid:396)t(cid:863) (cid:1005)9(cid:1011)(cid:1005) (cid:271)(cid:455) majo(cid:396)ie kramer (f-a-t). In this reading it reveals and thoroughly explains the purpose of feminist art. It states that (cid:862)(cid:374)ot all a (cid:449)o(cid:373)a(cid:374) a(cid:396)tist"s pai(cid:374)ti(cid:374)gs a(cid:396)e o(cid:396) should (cid:271)e fe(cid:373)i(cid:374)ist. The article talks about how women can paint anything they want, just as male can, however, we can paint things that perhaps the (cid:373)ale pe(cid:396)spe(cid:272)ti(cid:448)e (cid:272)a(cid:374)"t (cid:374)oti(cid:272)e. this is a g(cid:396)eat (cid:272)o(cid:374)(cid:272)ept i g(cid:396)asped (cid:449)hile (cid:396)eadi(cid:374)g this article. I believe this article is very effective because it holds power towards women. This gives women power in their art and for their art to be taking seriously. This article forces the audience to not see feminist art as weak, delicate, or just plain art. However, feminist art is an art that reached out to a specific privileged audience, sometimes known as the avant-garde.
