Pentheus is the king of thieves, he does not honor the gods properly. Dionysus is the god of possession, gets inside your system in a process called. Homeric hymn 7 - dionysus is disguised as a pretty girl, but is also a boy (he"s both) he tricks pirates into snatching him. The ships starts growing vines and he turns all the pirates into dolphins. (greek word for delphos) Dionysus provides release, womens are kept in the house weaving, they do get to go outside the house to get water from the well or for religious rituals. They were kept in a secluded part of a house. Daughters of king minyas (king minyas is a city near thebes) they reject dionysus and praise other women gods like athene. Vines start appearing, but the daughters do not care except for leucippe, who accepts dionysus. If you do not participate in the mystery cult of dionysus, you are not welcomed here.
