Ordinary people, doing surprising things, purposely vague, do not know when time is set place. We worship heroes more because they are more with us, while gods are more scary and farther away. Somehow come to terms: ultimate boon (reintegration) - bring something back to civilization that is incredibly good, return, apotheosis - become godlike through ritual.
