Ebola is a zoonotic disease (with an unknown reservoir). Vaccine research is difficult on such dangerous viruses. Vaccine side effects may exceed disease mortality. 16 out of 2400 in the control group for vaccination were infected. Nosocomial infections are infections which are a result of treatment in a hospital or a healthcare service unit, but secondary to the patient"s original condition. Healthcare workers themselves are major sources of nosocomial infections. Disease (often infection) caused as a result of medical procedures such as surgery, catheterization etc. (puerperal fever) an infection acquired during childbirth. Handwashing was then required for doctors before surgeries, which caused the mortality rate down to around 1%. Hard for people to believe this because this was the time before the. 1795, alexander gordon suggested that the fever was an infectious process and germ theory was known. that physicians were the carrier. 1843, oliver wendell holmes published the contagiousness of puerperal fever.
