Plenty of resources for a species of fern to live throughout a forest, but it is outcompeted by short shrubs in areas that get more sunlight. This is an example of: intraspecific competition: within the same species, the rats resolve their battle when one population continues to feed on fish parts, and another moves on to eat tree nuts. This leads to: habitat differentiation: flies, choose not to. Can lead to speciation: character displacement: morphological changes accentuation due to living in the same geographic location. Outcompeted by each other, so they have to occupy their corner/extreme of the niche. Many individual parasites can occur on a host: the bot fly: lays eggs on person"s skin. Behavior: predators eat prey, not enough prey left, predators die. Prey begin to thrive because predators dead, predators then begin to thrive again to eat all the prey.
