Demographics of aging & aging across cultures. To be happy at 80: family, healthy, still busy/active in life, lots of animals: to make sure i have what i need: start now; make sure healthy now so it progresses throughout life. People over 65 will be a substantial proportion of the population by 2030: 41% of people over 65 currently don"t use the internet. Millennial today compared with their grandparents: millennial are much more likely to be racial/ethnic minorities than 50 years ago; intermarriage, immigration, millennials very wide age gap. Millennial generations are not ready to settle down yet when compared to older generations. Tend to live with parents longer, different expectations of independence: religion is a much bigger part of older adults lives than younger adults. What other contexts/influences are in there that we don"t see: age adapted, millennials are more educated when compared to older generations.
