Rousseau humans are naturally pure and good, but society will corrupt that. A social contract is protection against this corrupting force of beousious society. Hobbes humanity is reckless and impulsive species without a governing body. Rousseau you give up all your rights and get all of your rights back because the government is supposed to act according to the will of the people.
