Social capital: material and immaterial resources that individuals and families are able to access through their social ties . As parents we can"t advocate for our students the same way other parents with higher social capital. Parents meet one another from their children"s out of school activities. New standards that many states have adopted to teach students. Most active brokers have better standardized test scores. Culturally responsive: promote student achievement and a sense of well-being about the student"s place in the world.
