Consumer = someone who uses things, who consumes them: they purchase goods according to their individual tastes and based on their financial resources for doing so. Consumption = the consumption of a thing involves its use (clothes consumed by being worn, cars driven, music listened to: what is consumed is the use of something. When the use of something is depleted, it is time to replenish it. The more convenience, fun and style we have in our lives, the happier we will be. Desire does not desire satisfaction, desire desires desire. We go to store to be seduced we want to want more, not to be satisfied: in the properly working consumer society, consumers seek actively to be seduced. They live from attraction to attraction, from temptation to temptation. : the process of satisfying wants is the same process that creates wants. We are conditioned to desire in a way that is functional for those that produce.
