From the 1940s to the 1960s, people were asked if they believed man would ever make it to the moon. However, over time, more people believed it was possible. Because more educated people knew about the new technologies that would make it possible, they had higher rates of positive opinions. Yes, followed by high school graduates, and finally, grade school graduates. Those with high ses are already more informed than those with low ses. As both groups are exposed to more information, both groups have an increase in knowledge. Ses group has a steeper increase, thus, widening the gap of knowledge.
