The only thing on my mind is the time. But to him who seeks something more, recreation has become a self-destructive process of seeking but never quite finding. the words seem to ring in my head over and over again, mocking me. Seeking but never finding. i feel that i am looking too hard and trying too hard to find something to write about instead of paying attention to what"s actually happening. As i attempt to stand up from my quiet spot on the trail, i notice a small red speck from the corner of my eye: a red cardinal. The small and delicate creature was only 6 feet away from me but it felt so much closer. I reach for my phone and in the same second my fingers touch the phone case i remember the idea of trophy leopold mentions. It attests that it"s owner has been somewhere and done something, including photographs.
