Document Summary

As i walked with the class from the little road leading to the entire farm to the gardens nearby to harvest, i thought of how excited i was to be doing it for an english class. Out of all classes taken at ud i was able to harvest vegetables for an english class. Not knowing what to expect except for work, i stood around and waited for instruction before heading over to begin my first round of harvesting the vegetables. It reminded me of the community garden i have back home, filled with peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, herbs and so many other things that me and my mother would harvest from whenever we could. To feel that connection with my mother again while i was doing this on the farm made me excited.
