Process oriented approach to dealing with competency. What you did, how, how to make it better. Aspiring to develop partnerships with people and groups who advocate for others. If it is suppressed or destroyed then others will be better off. Ex- disabled put in home or orphanages etc. Assumptions= one culture is superior and should eradicate all other. Cannot blame people for where they are brought up. Others are beneath them and they need to teach them. All people should be treated in the same way regardless of race or disability. You can say difference does not matter to me. Realize one"s shortcomings in interacting within a diverse environment. Engages in continuous efforts to better meet the needs of the targeted population. Move beyond accepting, appreciating and accommodating cultural and disability difference and actively educate less informed individual about cultural/disability issues. Develop new skills to interact in diverse environments.
