Ordinary people would want to rule and attack the rights of the elites. Artisans and lower people in pennsylvania organized into groups in order to bring about independence. Did attack standards for voting (property qualifications) Concentrated power in a legislature voted on by all white men aged 21 or older that payed taxes. No example on which to base it. Elect a person that we think will represent our interest. True democracy could not succeed, it will turn into chaos. Only new jersey allowed all property owners to vote, including women.
