18 views2 pages

Document Summary

The book of job deals with finding the underlying causes of suffering and understanding that any person can suffer, even if they have a perfect life. This book shows what god created and his relationship with human beings through god"s responses to job"s questions. Job turns against god, who he had worshipped faithfully, as soon as his faith was tested because he blamed god as the cause of his suffering. Job"s problem is that he cannot understand why he is suffering. Job, a rich and happy man, lived in uz and was blessed with many animals and children. He sacrificed and made extra sacrifices to ensure his children would not have to pay for their sins which in turn made him one of the most respected people in the area. Satan, a figure presented in the book of job, attacked all of job"s prized animals and children because he lived a perfect and blessed life.
