The four rightly guided caliphs (feb. 10, 2016) 610 ad he declared himself a prophet. 622 ad he migrates to medina with his followers: they were marginalized in medina (yathrib) so he left with his 700 followers, in 621 medina asked him to make peace among the fighting tribes in medina. So muhammad sent two of his friends to go and convert the people in the city: then the constitution of medina was made. A result of jews and muslims working together. After it was made muhammad went to medina to rule. He was the head of state (judge for muslims and non- He was also the head of religion as well as state: there are only four people like that now. Therefore this set up precedent for islam to not be secular: christianity was though so they were not too happy. Stressed that there will be a day of judgment really soon.
