ANS 4932 Lecture Notes - Lecture 13: Scatter Plot, Pie Chart, Line Graph
Document Summary
Places a level of confidence in your findings. Now that you"ve finished the hard work of collecting data, you need to evaluate it. First you need to organize your data: spreadsheets, tables, graphs. Makes the data easier to read and decipher for the reader. Can present a large amount of data in a small place. Building a table: choose an easy, understandable title. Should be able to stand on its own. Needs to explain what the data in the table explains based on your study: clear the column and row headers. N = total number of observations in research. Average range of the error mean: the reader should be able to read and understand what the data tells them without reading the whole paper. Similar to tables, but translates the data into an easier and more understandable format. It can be easier to spot trends this way: types vary and are based on the author"s preference.
