Sar1 is a gtpases, so we can expect that it has a gap and a gef: second type we characterize, copii- goes from er to golgi. Copii: sar1 curves the er membrane, copii is monomeric & has gap and gef regulation. Important for controlling the assembly of the copii-coat. In gtp bound state, sar1 will release an amphiphilic helix which is part of the protein.
