New england = upper ne part of the us. Main, vermont, massachusetts, rhode island, new hampshire, connecticut. Di erence between virginia and massachusetts colonies: massachusetts colonists went for religious reasons. Massachusetts were there to further god"s cause: massachusetts colonists travel in family units. Typically there"s an uneven rex ratio in most colonies (more guys) Puritans want to make sure worship of god is correct: They come up with a congregational church. Congregational = presbyterian with one big di erence.
