The way people acted di ered greatly between social classes. Biggest di erence ladies and gentlemen don"t work with their hands. Most people worked with their hands because there was no labor saving machines. Gentlemen and ladies are wealthier than everyone else. This was not an absolute though teachers and ministers had the title of gentleman or lady, but they only held this status because of their job, not their income.
