They couldn"t go to the holy land because it is dominated by muslims. Liberation of the holy land to associate with the life of christ. Getting along with the culture, it is a journey. They have to build up with stones, stone vaults. They can"t expand the space, they have to rely on the strength. Basic plan with the naive and the idles from the early christian plan. The arches are supported with compound above it. Much more elevated and narrow to the height and width. Practically to add more space for the people. More columns, signifying that space contain double idle to accommodate more people and more relics. Two women were considered to be symbolically blessed by god. The lamb and the lion were given birth by those women, resemble the symbolism of christ. Slightly resemble a cross because of the shorter arm and extended body. The design may have multi-level with different values.
