Nature as sublime: nature as composed by harmony and unity, thigns are interfused. Wordsworth is seeing with the corporeal eye: he creates what he sees. In the opening we get a clear sense of wordsworth"s concept of nature. Everything he says in the general abstract terms. To wordswroth, nature is more than the physical landscape. Some of the symbols of nature represent the sublime. The divine spirit is out there in nature but also in here in the human mind and imagination. Dynamic reciprocity between the mind and nature. Repose to sit or lie downf: to rest, to be at peace. This peace is the result of the spirit of nature. Wordsworth"s great theme is what he calls the wedding of man and nature spousal verse . The source of metaphor being the book of revelation: the bible as artistic inspiration and a lingua franca. Marriage between the lamb (jesus) and the new jerusalem.
