Japan does not have the resources to occupy all of china, occupied much of south and costal in the outbreak of wwii. From 1941-45 their zone of occupation does not increase. Ichigo (1945)-about to surrender to america but suddenly becomes aggressive in south china (this is where american aircrafts are launching bombs) Hiroshima plane leaves off the island of tinea. Chinese national generals moved to tawain after losing. Japanese surrender (cid:498)the long march(cid:499)- move from central to remote china and harassed by chinese. Had to determine which countries would accept the japanese surrender (they troops were scattered) Japanese troops want to get out of china as quickly as possible. Japanese handed over weaponry, chinese communists are being re-weaponized, this instigates civil war. Chinese were previously essentially cavemen with weaponry. America sends marines and ferries chinese nationalist troops from south to north. Americans are also running chinese railroads, there is some bloodshed between.
