The colonization of the chesapeake and the west indies. England in the 16th century had a lot of rules to it, and had different type of trade routes to it, which made them changing. Since we want to know more about colonialisms, we"re going to learn a lot about. Compared to the rest of england, the english were small and poor; aristocracy made up only 5% of the population. 80% of the population was rural and engaged in agriculture, they made use of extensive common lands for pasturing and hunting and renting small plots of land from the aristocracy for agriculture. The english had a very democratic system compared to the rest of the continent. Monarch shared power with the parliament; divided into the house of lords and the house of commons. House of commons was only elected, but only by men with a certain level of property.
