Use the datapath to solve the following problems. If you want to store the contents of a register in memory, then the address in memory is sent out on bus a and the data is sent out on bus b (m[a] b). Data from the ram is received through data in. For each sub-problem, assume the registers begin with the following values and that the data at each memory address is equivalent to its address. For example, m[x12] stores x12 (x12 means 18 in hexadecimal). R7 xf0: fill in the control word for the instruction r3 r4 + r5 + 1. A few fields of the control word have been completed to help you get started. Control word (a series of control signals for the different components of the datapath) R6: fill in the control word for the instruction r0 r1 or r2. Md rw: find two ways to clear register r4 without modifying any other registers.
