Impact: turns trans* individuals into specimens to dissect, instead of human beings. Objectifying trans* bodies is a problem; it creates a hyper focus on trans* bodies which: Dehumanizes those bodies by removing their personhood. Asks trans* individuals to reveal private, personal info to the public to prove themselves. Obscures the lived reality of trans* lives. Sexual predators who fool cisgendered men into falling for a guy. Trans* status revealed in dramatic (cid:522)moment of truth(cid:523) Exposure reduces femaleness to illusion as maleness becomes her real identity.
