Vision • Trichromatic theory - certain cones are sensitive to to only some wavelengths,making up the colors blue, green,and red which add to make all the colors we see • Color blindness happens when certain color receptors are missing ⿞Dichromats see two colors ⿞Monochromats see shades of grey • Opponent process theory - we see three pairs of complementary colors where if one is seen it inhibits the cell from detecting the other,explains after images (see in verses of colors when they are removed if focused on long enough) ⿞Green-red ⿞Yellow-blue ⿞Black-white • Gestalt Principles ⿞Proximity - Mentally group together things that are close together ⿞Similarity - grouping by how alike things are ⿞Continuity - assume subsections are continuous ⿞Closure - assume gaps are filled for closure,see dotted lines like they're whole ⿞Symmetry - objects are grouped so the whole is symmetrical ⿞Fi
