Sick persons had cases that matched the case definition. As the investigation continued, 3 acute-phase igm measles specific serum specimens were obtained. Cases were hesitant to provide specimens; the first confirmation of measles. The first confirmation of measles came from the sister of a 19 year old male that had died.
