Tumor cells probably cannot grow without other human cells. Basophil- (least common 1% of wbc) contain anticoagulant heparin and prevents blood from clotting and it also has heparin to allow blood flow. Dendritic cells - has many subtypes, macrophages (most investigated). Pathway) pathway to promote dendritic cell activation to fight t-cell immunity. Timeline of cancer = surgery (1850), radiotherapy (1900), chemotherapy (1950), Immunotherapy only works in a fraction of patients. More macrophages the patients tend to do worse in getting better from cancer.
