America is considered the definitive history of that seminal era in stand-up comedy. He has written many chapters in this book. In the first chapter of the book, after lenny, zoglin main character was lenny bruce. He mostly talked about the ups and downs of bruce, how he tried to change the view of comedy. Zoglin"s main argument was how bruce and a new generation of comedians brought the revolution in the stand-up comedy and developed the comedy. There were three steps in the chapter that brought the revolution in stand-up comedy.
