Power (read all power relations) is intrinsically associated with knowledge and vice versa. This means that who has knowledge has power (and also can work vice versa). But even more populations in our contemporary world are more and more subjected to domination through this apparatus of power/knowledge. connected and shaped by scientific knowledge. It is not about one person carries this power/knowledge. As regimes of truth this means that populations believe them. Discourse is crucial part of this knowledge production. What counts as knowledge varies from one society to another. Foucault power three innovations: power is not centralized in particular institutions (such as the state) but diffused throughout society. Discourse is the main form and way that constitutes knowledge according to. Discourse is not only simple talk or conversation.
