The movement appealed to ex-soldiers to defend the italian honor . Fascism was a movement of the future appealed to young people, said parliamentary democracy was old & tired. October 1922: fascist blackshirts march on rome this was the first of many mass rallies for hundreds of people. The italian government could"ve prevented this from happening by lacked a will and determination to oppose mussolini.
