Document Summary

Preventive medicine is not responsive to illness it doesn"t involve treating someone who is sick: an illness is a condition that prevents a person from developing/exercising skills/talents that everyone should have an equal opportunity to develop and exercise. There are two different methods of bringing about a given improvement: naturally by means of hard work and discipline, artificially by chemical or surgical means. Molly and nash: the aim was to select an embryo that once the child was born, it would enable us to get tissue from the child to help the child that is already living. Molly has a genetic abnormality and will die unless she gets a bone marrow transplant. Her parents wanted to have another kid anyway (without the genetic abnormality so they were going to use this technology to prevent this) So why not select for an embryo that would have the right tissue to transplant blood to molly and save her life.
