Numerical modeling assignment 1 due in class thursday sept 17. This first assignment builds on what you have learned in the tutorials about animation simulations and creating graphs. It is meant primarily to verify that you have absorbed that material and are ready to move on to new challenges in future assignments. You will model an air-cart moving along a horizontal track and bouncing backward from a hard but elastic barrier near the end of the track. You will turn in (on paper) screenshots of the simulation and of a graph showing the x (horizontal) position of the ball vs time. Both the animation and graph should contain your full name in the title, as in the attached examples. One purpose of this assignment is to ensure that you understand and apply correctly the geometric definitions and constraints of the physical modeling, including thicknesses of the objects.
