Document Summary

Very few of the sperm will actually make it. By the time you get the sperm through the cervix and the mucus present in the cervix, they start to die off. Men with low sperm count have fertility issues. Only a few sperm cells will make it. Best time is when it"s thin which is during the follicular phase. During the letural phase, the mucus in their cervix is blocking the cervix making it more thick. Utera contraction generates pressure to move the sperm. After the sperm is introduced into the track is when it develops the ability to actually fertilize the ooycte. So a sperm that is ejaculated somewhere other than the female track, it is not capable of fertilization. There are chemicals that are released by the oocyte to attract the sperm to it. By the time you get to the fallopian tube, there"s only a few sperm left.
