Social Structures: Patterned social arrangements and relationships that are produced by—but also
constrain or shape—individual actions and experiences.
Social Reproduction: Processes thatperpetuate orsustain a given social structure.
Social Change: Processes thattransform a given social structure.
Sometimes can be gradual or rapid/dramatic
Can be result of broader processes or concerted/conscious action
Changes in norms and values, change in cultural practices, change in definitions of identity categories,
changes in how resources are distributed, what inequalities look like
