Iphigenia"s fate: numerous versions of the story, start of the story of the trojan war. One of the oldest versions of the story: transformed into hecate. Substituted at last second for a deer and transported to tauris where she becomes a priestess of an unusual cult of artemis: iphigenia at tauris. Element of miraculous survival: functionally different from other versions of this narrative element, the binding of isaac, protesilaus and the first prophecy. Is the first to jump off the ship, to garner glory for himself. Purpose of fighting: achilles and the conquest of the peripheral cities. The priestess briseis: episode of the dice game not attested in literary sources. The death of palamedes: feeding the army. Palamedes does: odysseus is enraged, odysseus either engineers false evidence of palamedes" treason, tricks him with gold while fishing or drowns him in a well. Palamedes" father nauplius asks for justice and is rejected.
