The internal logic of the culture is that you have to say certain things to make something happen. In-group and out-group situations; the use of certain symbols make you feel smart or like you belong somewhere or do not; confidence. Yes and no sometimes there is an audience, sometimes not. The words affect the audience by increasing their confidence in a magician and the magician"s power. This is a good advertisement point: if the audience thinks a magician is powerful and professional, they will pay for their work. Traditional; the more often someone does something, the more powerful and effective it seems. Theory is sometimes a good way of filling in the gaps in the fragmentary data collected from antiquity. Looking at the ancient world in a different way than literary writers. Words or somewhat transformed words in multiple languages. Thrown together to make a new, magical language. Nonsense words which sound like multiple languages.
