The american born population increased (creoles, american born slaves increased) 18th century, multiracial population (native american, white, blacks), as a result they were familiar with different religions. Transition of african to african americans varied from time and location. 18th century mid elite whites began to buy slaves, and options for manumission began to disappear. Increase in grain production increase in need for slaves. 1750 1800: 75,000 africans forced to the new world per year. Europeans did not do well in tropical climates, and therefore did not do well in towns like jamestown and south carolina.
