Rule #1: / z / [ s ] / [-voice] _____ or z changes to [ s ] Rule: / f / [ v ] / ____ [ z ] Remember that the sounds [ ] and [ t ] are two different symbols make sure you do not confuse the sounds and accidently think the [ t ] are two separate sounds
