Also known as "the most dangerous 13 days in the history of mankind" The fate was in the hands of jfk, khrushchev, and castro. Between jfk and khrushchev they were different men with different backgrounds (each side had a different vision of the world) Kennedy was unable to "charm" khrushchev and khrushchev thought he was a pushover khrushchev risking a war. His goal is to erase the advantages the united states has. U. s. had to figure out how to get rid of the missiles. "what kind of world would we live in after we strike cuba?" Soviet union thought there was no success without secrecy. With the missiles on cuban soil, cuba was a major player in the strategic game.
