Friday, february 23, 2018: napoleons send charles leclerc with 20-30,000 soldiers. (2/3 of expeditionary force lost) due to yellow fever and malaria. Restricted by british: only nation successfully formed by slave rebellion, no formal ties. However became bankrupt when forced to pay reparations for confiscated land.
