In bureaucracies, there are clear chains of command: there are also written rules and regulations to ensure, conformity, consistency. Information flows down: difficult for information to stream up. Informal organizations: within a formal structure, there is an informal one too: just as important as formal structure, very informative, all persons within formal bureaucracies, have careers or career paths.
