Depression: the impacts it has on you: Safety: can move slower when depressed, looks like someone who has no vitality, normal levels of depression: Feeling sad/down because of a certain thing: vegetative depression- people who don"t get out of bed because too depressed, impacts every section of life. Major depressive episode- depressed mood most of the day, nearly every day: has to go on for about 2 weeks to be considered this, things that are seen with major depressive episode. Depression can affect their cognitive symptoms to the point where it can look like early alzheimer"s. Sleep more/less (impacted one way or the other) Anhedonia- the lack of interest of things you use to enjoy. Just don"t enjoy activities you loved as much any more: you can have a major depressive episode that is sever or minor. If you aren"t feeling sad most of the day then you are not depressed.
