Electricity is a tool therefore it could be dangerous so be careful. It is either full or not: as electrons are farther away from the middle they are weaker and can be shared or move to another atom. The act of an electron moving from atom to atom to atom is electricity. Because of this we get conductors and insulators: conductors- any object that allows electrons to move from atom to atom (valence shell is not full) Ex: we put gold in satellites because it is an excellent: insulators- valence shell is full so electrons cannot move from atom to atom. We use them to keep us from getting electrocuted. Usually man made, put around the conductors. Ex: cell phone charges have rubber around the wire so you can use your phone over and over again. Rubber on the bottom of your shoes. Wet wood is a conductor but not a good one.
