THR 112 Lecture Notes - Lecture 2: Human Eye, Reduced Properties
Document Summary
The colors you put in front of lights to change the color is called gels: used to be made out of gelatin. Burned out super quickly and would have to rebuy/remake every few days. Stuck to the hand/everything else it touches. You are not stuck with only white lights and allows you to have hundreds of colors at your fingertips: use gels on lights that do not color change, use. There are theatre companies that still make gels but it is super expensive: maybe in vegas and broadway. You can layer gels together aka blending. Gels and color filters are really the same thing but there are not as many colors in the gels. Human eye can see color to our species but the camera can show us more colors that we can"t see with our human eye: no two people see the same thing more than likely.
