This is why we have to be on top of paperwork. Types of paperwork: instrument plot- a to-scale floor plan displays every lighting fixture and practical unit required to light the production. It looks down on top of the stage area from above the lighting positions: light plot- another floor plan of the stage that displays where the individual fixtures will be focused. This is a way of planning out the physical design and control for lighting. Normally circles or ovals that represent the space that actors will be performing in.
